What size conduit is needed for #6AWG wire?

How many wires are you putting in the conduit? Is it above ground or under? If above, how high?.... Give us all the info you have and we'll go from there.

I'm putting #6 AWG cable (which contains3 wires/ground) in the conduit...I'm going from the transfer switch on the inside basement wall....up one side of the block wall.(about 6 feet)..across the ceiling(about24feet) ...down the other side (about 5 feet)...then through the block wall where I will mount the power inlet box directly on the other side. I was thinking of using 3/4" pvc conduit but wasn't sure...I'm not even sure I need to put that #6 AWG cable in conduit?? Can you help? (This is all above ground)

Eugene: NEC 1/2" EMT conduit compact conductors #6 awg thw 1

3/4'" 3, 1" 5, 1 1/4" 9, 1 1/2" 12, 2" 20, 2 1/2" 35, 3" 53, 3 1/2" 70, 4" 89, wires
