I have a 32 bit i686 GNU system (Red Hat OS). I need a GFortran 4.3 or later compiler for a program I'm trying to run. I've been to the following website:
http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/GFortranBinaries
but unfortunately it gives you much more than GFortran, none of which I need. I'm just looking for a nice download that only contains GFortran along with some nice understandable instructions. Does anyone have any suggestions?
And before any of you are tempted to answer questions here that I didn't ask to show off how much you know about linux (or don't know), just know that I've wasted entire weekend reading about the G95 and GFortran and am pretty disgusted by all of this already because G95 is a breeze to install, but unfortunately the program I'm trying to use doesn't work perfectly with it (it fails a test during testing after installation). So all I want is a tarball that only installs GFortran and some nice pretty instructions. If you personally don't know, cool, that makes two of us.
God I hate Unix and I hate that just because I decided to be a scientist I forced to constantly use it.
