Winamp Media Player

02/18/2009 12:22 PM

Dear all,

I've WinAmp v.5.541 in this VISTA Home Premium laptop.

Each time I try to bookmark any station, it stops working and closes. I've tried editing the bookmark thru WinAmp itself, but it doesn't work. Is the bookmark in a file somewhere that I can edit with Notepad?

WinAmp is known for having issues of operation with non-English environment - be it file-names, directory-names and compilation-list titles.

Try to name these in English, and it should work fine

Try to install an older version of Winamp. For example 5.3xx I've heard from other users (listeners) that they have similar problems. Going back to 5.3 solved their problem...

P.S.Tune in to DDCT radio ( http://67.19.213.74:8000 ) every Sat. 6 till 8pm Eastern Standard Time (New York) when I have my "DJ44 show"
Sorry I don't know what time it is in Dubai ...

Hello langyaw:

Welcome

as I have not seen you before.

If you cannot use Window Media Player, You could try switching to English to file or save, and maybe switch back to your native tongue to use it generally?

Good luck anyway...................

Take care..................
