	Pls comment on whether a generator without earth connection will light a lamp if connected between a line and earth, if yes kindly explain

	The answer will depend on why you want to have a generator without eart connection ? 	Sounds like homework to me. My suggestion is to draw out your circuit, look at it, and you'll discover the answer.
