WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF DROOP CT IN ANY GENERATOR . HOW ITS WORK.

Droop CT gives the pulse to the AVR for maintain the voltage on the load & reduce the fluctations of voltage on the load.

It converts current input to voltage which is a phase mixed with the sensing voltage. The result is the net increase in the output from the sensing network as the power factor lags causing the reduction in excitation needed for reactive load sharing of generator.
