Genuine or dodgy?

11/06/2006 6:14 PM

I've had a couple of emails from San Wu Rubber Mfg. Co., Ltd., inviting me to work for them in some B2B deal.

Does anyone know if they're a genuine outfit? Are they being scammed? Am I being scammed? They come up with lots of hits on Google, and look real enough; it's just that I go by the old adage 'if it looks too good to be true - it (almost certainly) is'.

If anyone wants to see the email I got (complete with link to a 'site) - drop me a line.

BTW I havn't followed the link, and I have no intention of responding to their invitation.

Just checked out their website. Its a hoax.

"*** In regards to the recent inquires for a sales position based outside of Taiwan: We regret to inform you that the ad is a hoax. At the current time, we are not looking for home-based salespersons. If you do receive any ad of this type soliciting positions for San Wu Rubber, please forward the information to......".

Here's the link.

Yes, places like that are frauds. You apply, and my Lord, you are just who we have been looking for. The salary is $4000 per week, how soon can you start and by the way fill in this document translation form and send the $25 fee....you guessed it. All they want is the $25.

They call this "advance fee fraud"

this is funny

here are 237,000 hits.
