Energy Saving Refrigerent Gas

02/25/2009 3:59 AM

Hi,

I was approached by someone that there is a refrigerent gas called COLD22, which guarantee at least 30% of energy saving.

Can anyone tell me more about this gas side effect or any bad experience or problem may arise should i proceed replacing current gas R22 to COLD22.

Regards,

Daril

When it sounds too good to be true it usually is. I have heard about this stuff and the only description I remember is that it is a proprietry mixture of hydrocarbons. Hydrocarbons have been used in refrigeration systems for years.

One advert I saw says 10 - 30% improvement in efficency. Compared to WHAT?
