It is not so easy. For example for valvetrain in engine: there is good develop accelerating line A = function ( angle of cam )on valve . Its first integrating shows velocity and second integrating gives position. This function you must resolve by some geometric or cinematic transformation ( there is influence of geometrical dimensions of valve gear) to right coordinations on the camshaft.
