The easy answer is upgrade to IE 8. Whether that'll be the cure or not .......?

Go to internet options from the control panel or the brower click Advanced tab and click Restore Advanced Settings then click Reset.

This will disable any strange addons that may be screwing it up. The next time you get to a site that needs an addon it will ask you if you want to enable it.

I suggest you use a spyware/antivirus to check your system as well.

Oh by the way, forget about IE7 and use Firefox.

Oh yes! That is the answer, change to firegarbage and open yourself up to every threat ever invented. Rather than listen to all the self appointed "experts" out there, I actually ran a test. I cleaned up my system using adaware, spybot, MS defender and CClean, then went to a defined list of "those" web sites where you would expect threats using IE7. upon rescanning I found a total of 3 malware threats. After cleaning again using the same process, I revisited the same sites using firegarbage and found over 200 threats. No thanks "experts", you can keep firegarbage.

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed!!

Try using a good securtiy program that blocks malware from entering your computer and you shouldn't ever see any detected when you scan. If your such an expert then you would already know that.

Regards & thanks to all !!!!

For the same reason I am using Maxthon 1.5x.

Not in favour of Firefox only for my special requirement that itdoes not copy links in the texts where URL is embedded.

Maxthon is only browser I could get equivalent to Internet-Explorer as it is based on IE technology.

Regards

I'm liking Google Chrome. Minimalist and and loads faster for me that IE or FF.

Regards & thanks.

I have installed the latest "Google Chrome" ; but don't feel easy with it.

May be due to my long attatchment with simple explorers like IE & its only capabillity to copy embedded-URLs with text,

I prefer to include URLs where necessary which only IE & Maxthon [I could till now could find] can do.

I still need time to learn to work with "Google Chrome" .

Thanks & regards

Salutations Haajee,

If this occurs on some sites but not all it may be due to website or server errors.

Sometimes it is due to lack of updating Adobe or Java.

Be circumspect when running more than one anti-virus/anti-malware product concurrently only a very few work well together.

I have no experience with IE-8 yet and have enjoyed use of IE-7.

Good day
