Learn how to layout a cone and the formula, these numbers can be replaced with your dimensions.

The formula for the cone is...

  • First you must find the difference between the large and the small Dia.
  • Multiply the large dia. by the vertical height,
  • Divide this product by the difference first obtained large dia and small dia)

This will give you the length of the center line you need from the top of the cone to the intersecting point (A)

Large Dia - Small Dia = 20" - 8" = 12"

Vertical height X Large Dia. 22" x 20"= 440

440 divided by the product of the difference in dia.

440 / 12 = 36.66 and this 36.66 is the length

Long time no talk

Wanted the IP address of your New PC (the old one I have already managed )

I can trace the new one only through the IP (got it now ) Wait for me.

BTW: I am currently busy with Roger Pink (Giorgia is history as is the brother of SuperKris' girlfriend).

Now on with refereing the RP (just put a stoke whenever the fire seems to die down )

Yes this car is in news. But still to be put on the market (may be next month or so it is likely to roll out).

Though I don't know the market it can attract, the $2500 is a bit high for most. I have a $8000 suzuki 800, good enough for the family. Howener most of the driving is on the 150CC mobike (and for the wife there is a 100CC scooter) that takes care of all the needs. Travelling is to the minimum. They are allowed to watch but not touch, The interest looks to be more from the son side (10 yrs) and that too on the car. he said just a few days back, he could understand the steering and gears , but doesn't know the accelerator and brakes (good for the pupulation control in general anyway we have quite a bit of adult drivers like that esp after a few quick ones and again mostly from neo-affluent ones - courtesy USA (call center and software guys ) They keep pedestrian populations under control and most of them belong to morning walkers associations.

No such luck (for girls or boys) over here, mostly. Hence no sleepless (and restless) nights for parents .

Girls at that age still move with girls and play with barbie. Shun boys as coarse (and boys ditto as sissies).

Are you sure she will not drive my wife crazy? Other wise welcome and may consider maigrating enmasse - and except the heat and dust, everything will be OK.(PS in our place as on date girls will marry before 26, usually, so later you have to send your son in law too).

But don't worry, again still arranged marriages are very common (and constitute more than 50%) so you need not bother about the courtship or anything just select him and send by post (but ensure the post is pre-paid) don't expect me to pay for your SILs postal charges. (of course if you want, I can pick him from his/your computer and bring him over here through the ether)

PS: The best part of arranged marriage - usually no official courtship, the bride/groom are chosen by elders, so once things go wrong( which they will whether arranged or love marriage) you can always blame them. In case you chose, you don't have anybody to blame .

And since the expectations about compatibility etc are kept to minimum (you don.t know him/her we start on a partially pessimistic note - even better ).

If only it were so easy. My darling daughter is currentlt " in love " and would not be displaced. though some future date a visit may be in order, when the money is available. I have always wanted to visit India, I hear there are some beautiful sights outside of the cities. The future only knows.

Will be there, waiting (But first you have to dispose the darling daughter But again since she is only 16, may not be much of a headache.

PS: In our area, if a girl of 16 says she is in love, she is going to be displaced. Most likely to some hostel in another city, say to her granma's. And them being of earlier hen , it will be more headache for her. Of course here children are kept more docile. And though womens lib is the talk of the day, children's lib isn't .

Well societal rule are different everywhere, you have pros and cons. The pros are as I said, cons are the sheltered growth creates problem later.

"Well societal rule are different everywhere, you have pros and cons. The pros are as I said, cons are the sheltered growth creates problem later."

Agreed. My little girl is a free spirit, to some extent, and this is one of her more endearing qualities. I would never want to stifle that. It wouldn't make me love her less but I would feel the loss.

All of my children are amazing and very special in their own particular ways and to cause any change in that would cause my heart pain.

The divorce is doing enough damage to their spirits I couldn't dream of hurting them. So our visit will have to wait, and be only that, a visit with a friendly Gremlin.

Re: sheetmetal work

Don't you feel My little girl they never grow up for us .

They still remain kids, especially mine. They simply jump on my back as I get back from office (currently I meet them for only an hour a day, this schedule will continue till month end)- They don't get that the donkey (or the gremling for others) can not carry so much of grown up loads. Still you are not allowed to complain (donkeys don't - I think there is a saying like that)

As we become father the priorities of life suddenly change. And despite all the things, I always feel fathers are more fond of children (may be the absence - both parties want to make-up for it )

As I mentioned earlier, divorce is not a option looked kindly in our society still. They do happen, and nowadays quite often. But still they are avoided especially in the not highest class families.

But again in the both working spouses it is more common in non-rich classes also, due to clashes, lack of understanding or more frequently other causes.

Usually after children, we try to keep the family together for the children sake, and compromise on their sake. But then again it is not the same society and culture everywhere. And you can never say which is good and which is bad. Both have their positive and negative aspects.

When the breach is broken, you should let the life take its course. Keeping two together as enemies may be far worse, especially for children, than parting as friends or even enemies. The tension in the house are not going to help them in their future life and may cause a psychological barrier for them in their future when they grow up and marry themselves. May be better to have the loving but apart parents, than having parents together who are so much involved in infighting, thet their love for the children do not get out.

Since you have deciedd to break the bond, try to do it quickly, prolonging may be bad for your mental piece. But as you said earlier, it is bitter one, So may not be a quick one. And I at least don't compromise the right (truth) for the speed.

Keep in touch. May God (I don't know you believe it or not, but I do) keep you mentally untouched from all these hardships. Keep your faith in Him.

We have a saying that all your hardships are due to some mistake you have done (in previous births actually but that is out of your syllabus so neglect this part) and this is to wash off your sins.

Have belief in the fate and Him. And take good care of yourself and then the children. have a mental piece, and that piece will pass on the youngsters.

Have your fight without animosity, fight since it is for the right. And that will keep you away from the unnecessary mental stress.

PS: I had some sort of synch in this forum with three different creatures - A squirrel, a cat and an extra tereestrial (The Sq and The cats are not in this post since they are not interested about the mechanical cone )

Keep in touch, till we meet.

Dear,

Do you know the development of surface (Engineering drawing subject)? This will give you the size of the sheet required. Depending on the process of fabrication / manufacturing you can modify it. Hope it will be helpful to you.

Good luck and Best Wishes,

Dr. Somani/India

I expect you will need to discuss this with a shop that is capable of this type of work. I believe they will need to roll the material to get the proper shape considering the guage of material and the overall size.

The blank will be 104.176 inches in diameter (8'68" or 2646.07mm) so that would be roughly a 9 ft square sheet. I'm assuming it will be welded after it is formed.
