CAN WE DO POWER FACTOR CORRECTION WITH ANY DEVICE OTHER THAN CAPACITOR? AND IF SO THEN HOW?

synchronous motors are one way. Why do you not want to use capacitors?

And also semicondutor convertors.

Since it is a homework question, how you have to find out.

(On practical life people use capacitors, but yelling for abnormal- means homework)

you can use inductor ,syncronous motor for power factor improvment

Are you wanting to power factor correct for displacement power factor, or for distortion power factor??
