What do you mean by mechanical stress ?
There are armored cables, exactly for same purpose. Else the supports, guides, cable trays etc are used for this purpose.
What type of load/stress is expected ?

when HT and EHT cables are designed to provide mechanical strength armour is used which is a steel typye material wires wraped around the cable which provide mechanical strenth to the cable.
