How to Design a Pressure Control Valve

Hi there,

I cannot help you to physically design the valve.

We do not do that. We specifiy valve types, trim, etc etc as well as needed calculations - to physically design from scratch would require the valve manufacturer. Have a look at the book I mentioned - otherwise you should try to get hold of a mechanical engineer.

Prepare Datasheet From the PFD Process flow diagram , give to procurement let them float the enquiry , Vendor will size and give the the correct valve Capacity & Actuator Size , evaluate for the following (noise , velocity,Material of construction ) using ISA 75 series .API 553 other relevant standards

What kind of fluid do you want to regulate?

Which input and output pressures?

Which flows as range minimal and maximal?

Which error is still acceptable between min and max flow for same pressure setting?

How do you expect to set pressure ? Operator? direct setting manual? or with an E-Motor with remote control?

Is that a school or industrial project? If second quantities per size and year?
