Welding SA-514 material

03/14/2009 3:17 AM

A-514 is listed in the ASTM but not in ASME Sec II. SA-517 has the same chemical composition with A-514. If SA-517 is P1 on the ASME II, can A-514 be considered as P1 also? Then, the same welding procedure for SA-517 be used for A-514? Please comment. Thank you!
