devise to reduce the size of a pp big bag after it is cleaned

03/14/2009 3:01 PM

we have a reuseable/reburbish co that markets reusable big pp bags

bulk bags is a name or supersacks or the correct name is flexible intermediate bulk

container after the clean the bags and prepare them for the baler we roll them into the shape of a cylinder(cigar) if you can vision that

there is so much air in the bags that it takes a long time to bale a 100 unit bale

our customers like the fact that they can get a hundred bags in a bale due to

using less pallets and easier to inventory for space contraints

any suggestions the baler has a footprint no larger than a standard pallet which is 40x48

will pinch rollers work to drop the size spread down as the bag is moving down a conveyor or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

we thought about a "t-shirt" folding machine concept but need to know if

that could be fab. and tested also

An existing technology that you can test is a standard cardboard compactor. These are cheap and readily available on the market in multiple sizes.
