How do i get a thread to reapear on the main page ?

Is it possible to get a disscussion relisted on the main page so that ppl can add more to it after you have left it for a while and then added more questions ??

The easy way is to repost it - but here all the previous posting will be disconnected and unnecessary repetition will take place. Refer 100s of posts on thread tensioning and torque values being posted. What I will prefer one to do is, just re-activate the thread. Go to the thread and post a comment, the incident that has prompted you to re-activate it.Now the last post date will be updated. I for one, and a lot of us, work on the posts sorted on the last post date to see which are the current active ones. Also it helps us to see which one has changed status after our last visit. So any post activated will come on the top portion when sorted.

There is a high pitched chirping noise that you can't quite figure out where its coming from once you turn on the main switch

Rings a bell ?

At least in this case it was not me. I swear, not initially. I dont make the high pitched chirping noise
