I have used and experimented with many different types of materials over the years. In Australia alot of mills use the Duoblock insert for the shredder hammers. The inserts can be cast to suit the configuration of your fiborizer knife or hammer. This material is better than tungsten carbide because it takes alot more impact from tramp iron. Having said that you should have a good magnet arrangment ahead of the fiborizer to remove any tramp iron. Web site link attached

this set of forums is FANSTASTIC no matter how esoteric the question, someone, somewhere, is both knowledgeable, and helpful in sharing the knowledge!! If we keep this kind of behavior up , national borders will cease to be impediments to progress!

Politicians will no longer be needed to negotiate complex treaties and agreements! None-productive talents will be re-deployed into productive occupations and mankind will enjoy a better standard of living.

What are you guys up to!! Messing up the status-quo again.

The 'Church' stalled progress for 300 years.

It is highly probably extremeist 'right wing' religious zealots will attack the freedom of the internet claiming the pornography that pays the bills is destroying our morals.

Hi Keith,

I agree with you100%. This forum is great in solving problems related to different kind of industries. Whatever may be your problem some one would give you a solution. I, many a times read the responses which are not related to my field but I learn how things have changed. In my time there were no such forums so we were not connected around the world.

This also portrays that Engineers are always ready to help each other all around the world. Great Spirit, all members, keep it up.

Suresh Sharma.
