Developing the single molecule transistor

KBecker writes:
Researchers from the University of Alberta and the National Institute for Nanotechnology of the Canadian National Research Council are finishing work on the concept for a single molecule transistor. They have shown that a single atom on a silicon substrate can be charged while while the rest of the atoms in close proximity remain uncharged. This concept furthers the potential for the miniaturization of electronic devices to the nanoscale, significantly decreasing the limits of existing transistors.

Moore

I hope that this will allow Moore's Law to keep chugging. They say that this greatly reduces both power consumption and heat dissipation. I wonder how long until this a commercially available technology is available.
