Hi James,

DIN means Duestuche Normang.It is an German Standard.All materials that are manufactured in Germany are according to the DIN Standard.I hope this information would help you.

It stands for Deutsches Industrie Normen, whether relating to flanges or anything else. It means German Industrial Standards.

For pipe flanges, it's DIN 2526 unless it's changed in last few years or been renamed as a Euronorm. It's the basis of the PN system of flange ratings.
