ACS700 ABB Drive

03/26/2009 1:38 AM

Good morning,

I am experiencing a problem with the ACS700 ABB Drive. When try to run this drive is comming up with SHOPPER UNDER VOLTAGE fault. I have followed the manual to solve the problem, changed the SHOPPER card, tested the fuses, GTO's and snipper diodes-Every thing was found to be OK, but still getting the same FAULT (SHOPPER UNDER VOLTAGE). Any advice please.

What does the manual say regarding the "SHOPPER UNDER VOLTAGE" fault and possible causes, I have never heard of it as a drive fault.

One who shops?

I think he might mean Chopper.

Edit: It sounds like a missing phase on the drive input.

I believe you mean a braking chopper. Check Brake resistor and IGBT's

I think there might be a problem in the brake circuit.Check it.I have assumed its chopper under voltage fault?

"Chopper Under Voltage" doesn't make any sense because all that circuit is doing is looking for DC Bus voltage to go too High, why would it care if it's too low? I could see a DC Bus Undervoltage alarm which would make me think possible blown input fuse. Make sure to check all of them. Also check to make sure you haven't dropped a phase. Or I could see a DC Bus Overvoltage or Chopper Over Voltage alarm which then would make me think IGBT or Braking Resistor. I did work on a multi-motor system where one drive was "over-hauling" another drive and eventually caused the braking resistor to fail which would then cause Over Voltage alrams to occur. Good luck!
