Saturn Vue 2002-2003 Accelerator Pedal Sensor

04/02/2009 6:40 PM

Hi.

Does anyone have any experience with this pedal sensor?

For instance, is it a hall effect sensor similar to those used on fords?

The reason I ask Is that I am after an Accelerator Pedal with built in sensor for an Electric car conversion. I am happy to interface voltage levels but just want to know I am purchasing what I THINK I am.

I am expecting about 0.3 to 4V output from it.

I have googled but can't seem to find and technical info.

Hi, In answer to your question, the pedel sensor is made up of two varible resistors using 5 volt refference voltage. Each resistor is opposit each other for cross refference varafication for fault testing. Hope this Helps. Ken
