YT11 Yard Tractor

04/05/2009 10:54 AM

I have an Ariens YT11 Yard Tractor that keeps tearing up the Pan Belt. Local repair shops haven't been able to solve problem. Anyone have experience with this particular tractor? It has an unusual setup with belt only contacting about 25% of the Drive Pulley.

Yes the belt tensioner is working, almost. I may have put the bolts in upside down when I rebuilt it. It appears that one of the blade bearing housing bolts stops the tensioner from making full travel once the belt seats into the groove. I will reverse the bolt assembly and try it again. Thanks for the memory jog.
