Hi smicrofit, A forging press with appropriate load- stroke characteristics can be selected if the load-stroke requirements for the upsetting process in question are known. Often methods based on experience, empirical formulae & analysis are used for predicting forging loads. Please visit the web pages of " Enomoto Machine Co., Ltd. Japan "- www.enomt.co.jp/ New Files /htm-e / definition-e.htm & select " Evaluation of Capacity Procedure ". Hope you will find some of the best calculations. Good Luck. Rangasamy

Hi smicrofit, If it is going to be only one time help, then you can ask your screw press supplier like ENOMOTO, Japan Or SCHULER, Germany. For continued technical help, you can approach DEFORM. Their Web site is www.deform.com. These companies may have their local offices/ reps in your country also. Please contact them with full details like max. & min. size / weight of the entire range of parts, various material Spec. to be forged or upset, details of other equipment etc. so that an optimum solution is given. GOOD LUCK.. Rangasamy

Hi smicrofit, 200 ton capacity screw press is more than sufficient for these types of Hex. Bolts. Go for a 100 Ton Trimming Press-may be a " Mankoo " make. Choose an H frame type for better rigidity. Please visit their Web site : www.mankoopresses.com You may also ask NHK Hammers to counter- check your choice. Good luck. Rangasamy
