04/15/2009 10:54 PM

We have been using SS309Mo for welding SS316Ti with Carbonsteel in past days. But frequent failures occured in this combination welding. So we decided to use SS316Ti for welding SS316Ti with carbonsteel. Whether it shall be used?If used wat could be the problem arise?

What types of failure have you seen? one of the most important issue in welding SS316Ti is Knife-line attack, that is a corrosion that occur only on stabilized grades SS along the fusion line.

Comparison of grades 316 (1.4401) and 316L (1.4404/1.4432) to 316Ti (1.4571
