inductance L or impedence Z ?

Z is useful for calculating short circuit fault levels practically.

Z = 10 * KV * KV * % Z
_______________

KVA

e.g. for 11kv/433v 1000kva with 5% imedence transformer,

value of Z when referred to high voltage side,

Z = 10 * 11* 11 * 5

------------- = 6.05 Ohms.

1000

theoritically , you may neglect value of resistance ( zero losses ) !

then, Z = L

Dear friend,

You are wrong. you misunderstand the topic.

its about winding inductance not device loading energitic.

this number will larger than what you claculated.

take a think, then correct.
