Anonymous Hate-mail for Hideous Head Honchos (Bad Bosses)

If you are anything like me, you have experienced your share of ignorant, cold, ruthless, mean, arrogant, power tripping, b@$t&rd$ 'n b!tch~$ for bosses.

This might be a chance to vent anonymously. (if we are permitted by CR4)

These are the rules:

1. No direct swearing. You must make some attempt to be pg rated. (We are grateful to CR4 for this forum)

2. Do not mention any person or organization by name. (No direct slander. Only you will know who they were.)

3. I expect Every entry to be written by Guest!

4. No 'Outing' other Guest posters, if you recognize them by content or style.

Lets have some really creative, eloquent, and well written diatribes.

*************************************************************************************

For one of my own stories, back in 1980, I worked at a well known hardware/sports store. I worked for 3 months, and got a rave review. At 5 months, I made a mistake with a customer, and made them wait for an extra 20 minutes, while I searched the warehouse for what they wanted. They complained, and I got a warning to shape up by the time of the 6 month review. My supervisor monitored me for the next month, and I turned in a superior performance. At the 6 month review, my supervisor told me that when we met with the store manager, that he would give me a glowing review, and I had nothing to worry about.

This was what happened, but then when he finished speaking, the store manager proceeded to tell me that I was a hopeless case, and a bad employee. (and other statements just as insulting) As it was Christmas in two weeks, I could work till then, but then I would be finished. I left that day, and never went back I was so furious. He lied, and also shamed my supervisor. It took me a long time to get over it. He told me that he doubted if I could ever be a manager.

I've since learned that I'm a great manager, and I think part of it is that I've never forgotten that experience and what a horrible manager is really like!

Get over it and get a life.

No one wants to hear how badly you were mistreated.

Does it really matter?

You seem to have come out of this all with a great opinion of yourself.

Pat yourself on the back once for me.

Hey lynlynch,

Sounds like you too have led a privileged life. Bully for you, unless you are one of those bullies!

Yes it matters. Society today is full of double standards and I wish we could just decide on one or the other. But two standards does not make any sense unless it is part of a scheme to keep potential competition at bay. And if people use this technique they you should determine if their management skills really measure up, because they wouldn't be compelled to act this way unless they thought that they were in danger of being exposed as a talentless twit. Most of the managers I have met were unqualified to do their job. That is part of what causes financial failures and the world seems to be eaten up with morons in charge.

My apologies if I am hitting too close to home.

I find it shameful that people in lead positions can place their underlings in compromising positions but if those people object they can be punished or fired. It happens all the time, but that does not make it acceptable. I have seen example after example of those in charge who have no talent for making a meaningful contribution to their business. People who never should have been placed in charge. Power over other people frequently brings out the worst in managers.

So get off your high horse and have some compassion or just shut up. Or better yet why not contribute a little of your amazing insight into ridding society of double standards. The rest of us will surely appreciate the latter effort more.
