what is differential between surge test and RSO test?

Hello All

I want to know what is differential between recurrent surge oscillograph test with surge comparison test? which one the most accurate measurement both of them? and when can we use both of them?

RSO test is for 2-pole turbi generator only and surge test is for stator and rotor of ac and dc machines.
