I have a nokia 5110 and I thought of reviving its battery. I bought a 4 cell blister Ni-Mh, R3 rechargeable. Only used 3, for the original battery was 3.6 V. Took old cells out and replaced them with the new cells, respecting the polarity, and the fuse at its place.
The problem is that the screen doesn't show anything. I also charget the battery separately. I thought the phone would not recognise the new battery but the screen and the keypad lights up when pushing the power button. It does not tell if the battery charges or not when pluged in.
The thing is that the last time was used it worked; but 2 years ago the battery died, so I decided to do .....this.
Any idea or experience with this sort of problem? Could this be a software problem?
