Could you perhaps be a little less vague in your answer to this question - What is the type/model/description of said timer.

If in doubt, read the instruction sheet that came with it or go to the manufacturers web site and download it.

jack of all trades is right. We need more information than what you've provided in order to help you.

There are one or two uses for timers other than making bombs . Shocking I know.

A timer should be adjusted for the time that you want the timer to time out at, or for the time that you want the timer to not time out at, or the time that you want the timer to do or not do whatever you want done or not done. That was as helpful as I can get with your limited information.

Now please help me with something in payment for my services.

Please instruct be how to build a house.

To build a house you will need....

1) Some building materials (toilet roll tubes don't work well unless the load bearing structure is composed of dry spaghetti).

2) Some tools (pocket knife for cutting wood, and a selection of hammers. Oh yes, a nail gun. Yes, that's about it.)

3) Nails (or duct tape).

4) A friend or two for assistance (preferably Macgyver if you are using duct tape).

5) Beer.

6) Some sort of design (best way is to build next to an existing house and just copy it. Beer can also be used to get you inside said house so you see how the inside of your house should look).

And that's it. There are of course a lot of other small details, but they are only for enhancing the aesthetics of your house (and keeping it up for more than the time it takes to drink the beer).

Enjoy.
