Experimental Modal Analysis - Hammer Test

Make first a FEA analysis which will indicate already how the frame vibrates at different frequencies. Even if results are not high precision you get indications where to place the sensors and in which range you should expect the frequencies to be analyzed.

I had already made the moel in catia , afterwards , I had meshed in hypermesh and then in Ansys Classiscal I had finded the natural frequencies and mode shapes by considering as free-free beam.

Now the results which i got from the software for modal analysis , I have to validate it with the results from the Hammer test - Experimentle modal analysis by using FFT analyzer.

So for doing experiement - I need the steps and the Component delection like

1. hammer type and material

2. location of accelerometer on the chassis and its location

Number of hit with hammer

etc
