How do you calculate the minimum thickness required for a non-standard bleeder blind?

Do you need to follow a design code?
If so, you may find calculate the minimum thickness from ASME B31.3 or, depending on your design from the ASME BPVC Section VIII.
You should also check with your local authorities whether or not this should be classified as a "fitting" or "pipe".
