thanks

Not quite my area of expertise however, the following quote is from the web address below, I hope it helps.

"This cracking is also called as sulfide corrosion cracking, which is generally classified into hydrogen induced cracking (HIC) and sulfide stress corrosion cracking (SSCC)."

http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6V2X-4H0S78R-5&_user=2322062&_rdoc=1&_fmt=&_orig=search&_sort=d&view=c&_acct=C000056895&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=2322062&md5=bbb0f30ab66454752020899b187ee4e4

and there's always Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC)

SSC (sulphide stress cracking) and HIC (Hydrogen induced caking) are two different forms of hydrogen related mechanisms of damage of a materials. The "basic" difference between the two is that is the first, SSC ,you need "stress" in the second HIC you don't need "stress". there are different forms of hydrogen related damage and these two are the most frequent in oil & gas for example. also the first is a form a damaged related to the presence of H2S and water.

SSC, and HIC, requirements and material selection is covered by an international standard, NACE MR 0175/ ISO 15156 where you find limits in terms of partial pressure of H2S, temperature, chlorides... for carbon steel and corrosion resistant alloys.

this doc is a good guide:

Use of International Standard

NACE MR0175/ISO15156
