Thermal / Acoustic Insulation

05/20/2009 2:48 AM

At present we are using rockwool / fibre insulation to provide the necessary thermal protection in our waste heat recovery units but this requires a thickness of around 150mm to reduce the temp from 550 DegC to 60 DegC. We are looking for alternatives that will greatly reduce this thickness but it also needs to have good noise insulation properties.

Any ideas?

Search for Ceramic Fiber boards, blankets, and/or rope.
