Dyke Wall Dimension for Storage of Chemical

We are manufacturing of chemicals and for the plant expansion we installed two storage tank of 25 KL. What parameter should be consider for Dyke wall construction as well as is there standard guideline for Dyke wall?

"Dyke wall" nore commonly referred to as a "bund wall". Google bund wall tank farm for some ideas.

I think you mean Dike... whereas a Dyke is a Lesbian.

Typically the location of a bund wall relative to the closest tank shall be such that the top inside perimeter of the bund is not inside the crest locus limit as shown in the following figure - except where it can be demonstrated that a reduced distance would be appropriate due to viscosity or other considerations.

Suppose Dike wall area dimensions are L x B x H & Diameter of Tanks is D with height "h"

Then equation to work out these dimension will be

Total Holding Capacity of Both Tanks = (L x B x H) - ( 2 x H x 3.14 X D^2)/4

Put different values for L, B & H subject to following contratints & fixup your dike wall dimensions.

1. L & B > D

2. H < h
