Small Sonde

is there a device (sonde) that can be inserted into a small pipe (less than 1/2 inch) under pressure and under ground for locating water services?

How about water witching? If you have the "force" you can locate buried water pipes using a willow branch...or are you a skeptic?

May I ask why you would want to insert a probe to locate the service when other non intrusive methods may serve your purpose?

The service is both copper and poly with no tracer wire.
