can any body define how position indicator works in slide control valve. SLIDE CONTROL VALVES are used in YORK A/Cs to regulate capacity control . Bit elaboration along with principle is needed . Help and time is appreciated
If it's a potentiometer then it's real simple. Attach a reference voltage and return to the fixed, non-wiper parts of the potentiometer. Measure the output voltage on the wiper of the potentiometer. Now define "k" being the relative position of the wiper from zero to one:
Vo=k*Vref
Probably though, that's not what you want to know. I guess you want to know the mechanics and feed back theory behind a machine you can barely describe. I'm not sure I can help you there.
While I really do dislike being snarky, you'll have to be more descriptive what your slide control valves adjust, and what the indicator looks like to get help here.
