Stator Ring

05/26/2009 2:10 AM

Hello everyone

I am trying to figure out where to find a stator ring. I have tried hobby stores, Grainger, ACE, and several other home improvement and electronics stores and I cannot find it. So does anyone know where I might be able to find a stator ring?

Here is the kind of ring I am trying to find:

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks!

Stephen

Find a local motor rewind shop. If they don't have, or can't make what you need, then they should be able to point you off in the right direction of suppliers.

Give a look at snowmachines or motorcycle engines. They are achiving 40 amps at 12 volts

If it's big enough, you can find one at a motor refurb shop. Such as REMCO in Alcoa, Tn. If not, will probably have to toss it. Comes down to time, effor and returns. Most small motors cost so much to refurb compared to replacement that more often than not its just swap and toss unless some effort to salvage scrap metal.

If it's for experimental use, buy a motor and disassemble it, it ain't matter if it's working or just junk.
