Finding New Uses for Existing Products

05/28/2009 2:23 AM

Last year I decided a little late to plant more tomatoes, actually my son was listening to his IPOD and plowed up an extra 1/2 .

I needed more plants but the green house was full.

I looked around and saw the kids Trampoline and the idea hit me. I took some old black barrier plastic barrier fencing I pulled at the end of a job when finishing the landscaping and wraped it around the of the bottom to the Trampoline.

I then potted a bunch of seeds in trays and set them under the Trampoline. When a freeze warning came I threw a couple of small tarps on the top of the Tramopline to protect the seedling.

The kids still got to use their Trampoline while the Tomatos grew underneath.Water them was easy just spraying water on the Trampoline and letting it drip down.

Maybe you guys have some things you improvised to share that we can all learn from.

I can't see the pic it did not load here.

I have gotten 3 more old trampolines from the web site Freecycle.com and set them up as small green houses to raise flowers, tomato and paper plants.

My kids are selling them at the flea market and making good money.

Wish I had thought of this years ago. The kids also like jumping from one tramp to another.
