Is Each Generation Degenerating More?

06/03/2009 11:59 AM

Before you adjust your test procedures, think about whether you've verified all of the information that you are about to use. For example, how much of what you read on the Internet is true? Should you trust it? Rely on it? To test the waters, a student from the University College Dublin inserted a fictitious quote into the write-up on an Oscar-winning composer in Wikipedia. When the composer died in March, newspapers all over the world included the quote in his obituary.

Read His Story and see how many times Man has risen and FALLEN and it should leave little doubt about the DEGENERATION of Mankind over time.

One word. Pseudoscience.

Two words. Water electrolysis.

Three words. Too-much information available.

Four words. Scam dressed as science.

Five words. Simpler to google than educate.

Six words. Some don't want to hear the truth.

Seven words. Failure to find original source for verification.

How many of us here have spent at least some time trying to explain electrical and scientific basics to people who have educated themselves purely from the internet and pesudoscience or scam sites.

The internet is a wonderful tool but without the background knowledge gained thru education and expeirence it is like being stuck on an ocean without a sail.

I'm sure that even stoneage man sat around the fire grumbling that 'kids today are no damn use'.

On the propogation of missinformation it has always gone on...good skills, info, rules of thumb get passed on, but also some stuff that isn't true, or is partly true.

Many people believe that a bow will 'stack up' (become suddenly harder to pull) just before breaking point...this is just a myth, which you can still find published. (It is a confusion of other factors)
