Power Calculation for Three-Phase Supply

in the power calculation for 3 phase supply power = sqrt3 VI Cos(pie) , from where did u get the sqrt3. plz answer

Hi,..

it will be different answer if you ask to mathematician or if you ask to electrician.

for electrician, after that formula has been proven by calculation (by mathematician

or physician) and by oscilloscope,

then another job is to define & select cable, motor, type of protection, breaker

selection etc.
