There are always study groups and tutorials at Fresno State University for the EIT exam. They have ABET certified programs, and the groups are typically lead by one of the professors. This is typical of all State Universities, Polytechnics, and UCs that have major engineering programs. San Joaquin is only a few miles from Fresno State, so might have to drive for 20 to 30 minutes or so, one way.

Thanks for the response, I am also wondering if these study groups have a fee associated with it. I am currently layed off from work and taking advantage of the time off to review the topics. I know that UOP has a program just for FE/EIT review, but, it costs approximately $600.00... anticipated thanks

Yeah UOP is a private university, and expensive. Check out Davis or Stanislaus or Sac State also. They sometimes have programs with fees and also some programs are free for engineering students, and there are usually somestudy groups that pop up. however, for the EIT it is easy enough to just study and take it. My undergraduate degree was in chemistry and soil science double major, and i passed it easily while working 12 hour days. The Civil engineering state seismic special exam for licensure is a bit different, probably want a class for that as it is highly specialized and a lot of stuff on cost effective seismic retrofitting that very few civil engineers see professionally.
