Work on the tooling.

If the moulded plastic is rought, then you have a part line mismatch, an insert surface mismatch or the mould is not closing properly and you have flash, or else the internal surface is designed to make a rough part.

The cost of fixing the tool PROPERLY once will save you all the rework, training, and inspections that will be there forever if you don't.

Depending on the type of pastic you are using for your canes it may be possible to powder coat them. Our company has a patented process that makes most non conductive materials temporarily conductive. The canes can be sprayed or dipped in the solution and then powder painted by conventional means. The plastic must be able to with stand the powder paint curing temperatures that can be as low as 250 degrees f and as high as 400 degree f. Most conventional powders cure around 320 - 340 degrees f. Nylon materials can be painted very easily with this process. Please feel free to email me with any questions kstay@novocinc.com
