Data Collection Tool Kit

06/19/2009 3:51 AM

Dear Sirs,

Many times it is felt necessary for collecting data and bring into online data logger for analysing the operational condition to understand its behaviour. Most of the new plants are installed with DCS, SCADA etc.. so it is easy to monitor parameter trends. when comes to old plant where all the instruments are scattered and it has independent panel meters it is felt necessary to have multi purpose data logger wireless tool so that its inputs can be connected to various panel meter, sensors etc.. for recording the data at one location for analysing purpose. in this regard I am interested to know is there any wire less device ( single or multi channel )for to accept 4-20ma, wireless device to accept PT100, wireless device for 0-.10 V etc and common transceiver plugged into laptop for collecting parameters from these devices to monitor and trending.

Please advice.

Hello parimalam,

I suggest you completely rephrase your request! Leave the 'waffle' or stuff we do not need to know and include only the detail we have to know. [p

It is virtually unintelligible at the moment.

IE: It is virtually impossible to figure out what you want. But I am going to guess and search from my intuition.

Hi,

i had a similar situation (equipment located far away from any dcs) recently. I used with great success the Banner wireless system. There are various units, analogue and digital. I used the 4 channel analogue units. The receiver outputs 4..20mA so you could hook up a data collection card in a PC to record the data. They are extremely easy to set up. You just plug them in to 24Vdc and connect your instrument signals.

I hope this helps.

regards, Dave

I would be very pleased to discuss your requirements and applications with you. I can provide you with a range of wireless data collection devices and the software programs for downloading, reducing, trending and analyzing the data from both machinery and process equipment such as reformers and reactors. The devices are intrinsically safe and the system can provide alarm information for process parameters, plus machinery/piping vibration and temperatures. Please give me a call or provide me with your contact information. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you on your project.
