Lab-Scale Curing Chamber for Textiles

i am working on a project related to design of lab scale curing chamber used in textiles , This equipment is used to cure the fabric ,inorder to fix the dyes used in textiles. I was doing the thickness of insulation calculation and i was stucked here because i dont have any idea how to calculate the thickness of insulation that will be used in curing chamber, i will be using fiber glass as an insulating material , but i am lost as regard the the thicknes of insulation is concerned.

Contact a " fiber glass as an insulating material" supplier and give him the SPECIFIC DETAILS that you have neglected to give us.

The laboratory curing chambers typically insulated with fibre glass with temperature control, circulation systems are already available commercially. We have around 5 curing chambers avilable at our institute. The average insulation packing densities are observed between 1.5 to 2.0inches in the door wallsapproximately.Are you doing research on insulation efficiency versus fibre glass thickness? For us the main problems of curing chambers are the frequent failures of heating elements and their life of usage.

actually, i have already calculated the response time and the flow rate at which air will be striking the fabric, it came out to be 0.5 m/s and the response time was 1.5sec. Response time is the time at which i will get my required tempetrue for curing. main problem is of getting exhaust time and thickness of insulation that i will be using inorder to prevent heat loss. exhaust time is time at which the system will exhaut the air and will take fresh air.

insulation used will be of glassfiber, but im confused of what thickness will i be using that batt of glass fiber.

as u mentioned about the life of heating element, since i m not using the resistive wire, which with the pasge of time converts to an insulator. i will be using infra red inorder to get the curing temperature.
