Suppliers of Fiber Optic Joints

I client of mine is in the process of manufacturing Cable Reeling Drums for Material Handling Machines(Stackers/ Reclaimers) with Fibre optic cable. For this he requires Fibre optic Rotary Joints. Can you sujjest any manufacturer in Europe or China who manufactures . Such joints are avaiable from Hitachi . mOOG ETC BUT THESE ARE VERY EXPENSIVE .

Hi T.K.Paul,

IDM Electronics Ltd, and Pandect Precision Components of the UK, and Schleifring und Apparatebau GMBH of Germany are listed on MotionNet.com as suppliers.

I am doing some investigation on the cost of these joints. Do you know what a typical price is for a Moog or Hitachi or similar FORJ unit? I don't have any basic idea of how expensive they are.

Dear Mark,

The Fibre Optical Joints I am looking for are the ones which cable reel drum manufacturers and these these cable reel manufacturers get manufactured locally. There some cable reel manufacturers in Germany and France who would obviously get these made locally through their vendors in Europe.

Price range should be around 1600-1700 Euro FOB for being cost effective for my client. If you can give me your mail ID I can send you a sketch of the system we are looking at.
