High School Project (RFID Tags)

hi. my name is corey and in for my engineering high school project, my group and I have decided to incorporate RFID tags into the lock and ignititon system in automobiles. At the moment, we are having truoble making/designing the RFID tags. Any feedback or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at the Parallax Programmable ICs at www.parallax.com.

They offer RFID tags and readers, and I would start by looking at their "Board of Education" product. You can find them on Ebay. You'll have to interface the RFID reader into the BOE product.

Check out Toyota and look around at other non US based companies. Several companies have some RFID in use or planning.

This kit you can adapt it to a car. The RFID reader works with RS232 comunication. If you take aside the RS232 you can yu can work directly with the MicroReader.
