Product Specifications

08/06/2009 3:00 PM

I'm recently graduated … I'd like that anybody help me get some technical specifications in order to pick the right electrical stuffs(contactor , circuit breaker , cables, relays , transformers & so on) for various applications ... for example if somebody was asked to set the lighting layout of a factory .. then he had to choose the proper circuit breakers (CBs) , cables , switches ... by other words ,,, on which basis do we pick such the above mentioned properly ??? please provide me with technical tables if possible …..

Regards

Ahh, what did you recently graduate in? This is the sort of stuff that is taught in even a certificate level electrical engineering or electrician course. At the very least the course should have covered HOW to go about finding information and furthering personal learning and education in similar fields.

Can you provide more information please, your question is too broad (and a little concerning)?

Must be a graduate in Management. Tell someone you can do the job, then get someone else to do it...

Don't listen to these comedians,

Typical load is figured as 1200KW/Outlet assuming 220V/50Htz and at 560KW/Lamp (Flourescent). All cables should be 82.6mm2 and made of solid gold.

If you have an air conditioner then you should consider erecting a nuclear power plant with 500 feet of the structure to be occupied and be sure to store large tanker trucks of natural gas in an tightly sealed garage kept at 220C within 100 feet of the occupied enclosure.

They didn't tell you all this stuff in "your" school?

A very important specification to consider besides these is the color and materials used. They should all be the same colour and made of very similar materials. Aside from the aesthetics, using the same color will ensure that the electrical flow is not disrupted. You must have learned in school that the recognized wiring color is BLACK for the LIVE conductor and WHITE for the NEUTRAL. If you mix them up the current will get 'confused' and the results would be unpredictable.

It depends on what country the original poster is in/from, remember phase, neutral and even earth wiring colour varies depending on what country you are in and what standard the equipment is built to.

You're correct of course, Jack. I just didn't want to confuse the OP with national deviations.

True, but we don't know what country the OP is from (there is no guarantee he/she is from, say USA where this colour scheme is valid).
