I am sorry but would like to say that I don't agree with Redfred. The result of Google search should not be the answer. In fact, I can guarantee that there is no question which when searched in Google will not bring hundreds of links. It doesn't mean that people can search anything in Google and simply get the correct answer right away. If so, then what is the purpose of joining this forum. If Wareagle would come up with any specific link from this search result, it could help. To me, this result doesn't mean anything - I even spent some time to go to many links of this search result and, found many are just the junks in context to the question and didn't find the appropriate information which can guide the OP to understand the relay co-ordination. If we would truly like to help, especially to the new comer to this forum, we should come up with specific answer – otherwise should stay away from respond.
I'm sorry. I guess my double edged sarcasm missed the mark with you. Yes, Google can and will generate a million barely pertinent hits by entering in the terms "relay coordination" into the giant search engine. But to post here nothing but a blanket request on "relay coordination" should in all honesty do nothing more. Had the original questioner asked for an explanation or clarification of some specific aspect of relays, I and I'm sure others here would be happy to share our knowledge. For example, why do some relays require a diode across the coil that is backwards from the current flow? But to ask such a broad question implies that the questioner understands nothing about relays. It may take a lot of rudimentary education, just to find out what the original question should have been, let alone explain the correct answer in terms that will be understood.
So to educate the questioner, a Google search shows quickly just how nebulous of a question has been posed. If the questioner learns some of the terms and concepts of relays from this search, great. The terms that elude the questioner, can be cheerfully explained here. But if you refuse to do your homework, GO AWAY.

Go to this link and read the "CHAPTER 4 PROTECTIVE DEVICES COORDINATION" from it. You will find good information to start with to understand the relay coordination.
