Try the printer manufacturer's support line, DUH

But it sounds like you have an ESO problem (Equipment Superior to Operator)

Hope you followed the manual! Usually you must install the software before hooking up the printer. When you plug the printer in it will be recognized by the system and the proper software will be loaded. Try removing the cables and software and then reboot. Install software again and then plug in printer or when prompted to. If you did this the first time, go to "install printer" and check to see if it is listed and set as default. If there and not printing follow directions to print a test page. If that fails there's a problem with the printer.

Has the printer installed correctly? Can you see it in your list of printers on your computer?

Is it a special printer like a plotter which requires special setup?

Is the printer and/or computer an older model with limited 'plug-and-play' features requiring some manual setup during the printer installation process?

Please provide much more information as there are many possible reasons for this (include printer model and type, computer and operating system type and version).
