mechanical engineering

we often use first and third angle projection in engineering drawings and we donot use second and fourth angle projections .why?

if you use second and fourth angle projections, views will be over lapping each other.

First try to get the meaning why first angle is called first and third angle third.

Why not fifth, sixth... ?
